Catholic Foundation of Maine

The Catholic Foundation of Maine offers individuals the opportunity to make lasting charitable investments in Catholic ministries and organizations across Maine.Established in 2003 as a 501 c3 nonprofit organization led primarily by lay Catholics, the foundation provides a trusted avenue for people to support and create charitable funds and endowments that strengthen the mission of the Church in Maine.

Through the foundation, donors can designate funds for a wide range of purposes—benefiting local parishes, schools, vocations, and organizations such as Catholic Charities; providing scholarships and program support; and designated special projects that allow families to contribute to various Catholic causes each year. The foundation carefully manages these funds, ensuring that they are invested prudently and that each donor’s charitable intentions are faithfully carried out for generations to come.
