A Men's ACTS Retreat will be held October 15-18 at the Camp Kerith Retreat Center in Lyman. This weekend will be an opportunity for men to strengthen their relationship with the Lord, renew their spiritually, and build and grow friendships with some great men. All men age 21 and older are welcome to attend. ACTS is an acronym for Adoration, Community, Theology, and Service. We aspire to grow in faith and friendship like the first Christians did: “Each day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes” (Acts 2:46).
The retreat begins on Thursday, October 15, 2026, with check-in at 5:15 PM at Holy Family Church, 66 North Avenue in Sanford. Transportation will be provided to the retreat center. We will return to the parish on Sunday, October 18, in time for the 10 AM Mass. After Mass, a welcome home reception for participants and their family and friends will be held at the St. Thomas School cafeteria.
The total cost of the retreat is $275. This fee includes lodging, food, beverages, and many spiritual activities. A deposit of $50 made payable to St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish (please write “ACTS Retreat” in the memo section) must be received to reserve your place. The remaining balance of $200 will be due at check-in. Register online here. Please Note: Financial difficulties should not prevent anyone from attending the retreat. Contact Ken Brown, our spiritual companion, at 207-608-3839 or Alex Swetz, Retreat Director, at 207-289-4252 to confidentially request financial assistance or to contribute to the scholarship fund.
