The St. John the Baptist Secular Franciscan Fraternity, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Lyon and Catholic Charities Maine invite you to a day of prayer, reflection, and care for our common home during the Season of Creation.
In commemoration of the passing of Saint Francis from earthly life to eternal life, Bishop James will lead a Transitus service at the St. Anthony Franciscan Monastery.
The Feast of St. Francis of Assisi is celebrated each year on October 4, which also marks the conclusion of the Season of Creation. The Season of Creation begins with the World Day of Prayer for the Season of Creation on September 1.
On the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, all are invited to join Bishop James Ruggieri and the Franciscan community for a Mass at the St. Anthony Franciscan Monastery.
